What do volunteers need to know about this role?
As Event Volunteers for this important Convention, you will have an important role:
- Event Volunteers will be helping mostly with online facilitation support and technical support to help folks navigate our online event platform, Hopin.
- The majority of volunteer shifts will be ONLINE participation, so you must be comfortable with technology and online spaces. Note-taking will be another significant task so you must be comfortable with this as well.
- Shifts range from 2-4 hours, you are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts/days.
- There is some documentation and evaluation needs for the convention. Volunteers can indicate if they would like to support with evaluation and/or documentation.
As the world faces an array of complex challenges, JHC is honoured to host this Global Convention of passionate individuals and organizations dedicated to the advancement of human rights. Ignite Change 2023 reaffirms our commitment to building a world where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect. Our hope is that attendees will walk away with a strengthened commitment, confidence and capacity for a movement of action towards the advancement of dignity, justice, peace, and freedom.
