Terry Watada is a Toronto-based poet, novelist, playwright, historian, and musician. For his creative work and community volunteerism he has received a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

His latest novel, Mysterious Dreams of the Dead, completes a cycle of novels that speaks to the Japanese Canadian experience, as seen from multiple perspectives. He has also released his fifth book of poetry, The Four Sufferings.
