The National Association of Japanese Canadian's Arts, Culture and Education Committee Presents:
In Conversation with Grace Eiko Thomson
Saturday, March 27, 2021
1pm to 3pm PDT | 2pm MDT | 3pm CDT | 4pm EDT
Moderated by Sally Ito.
Art is solely about living—living and doing without necessarily having to consciously interpret, define or choose – thus says Grace Eiko Thomson, former curator and now memoirist, in her book Chiura Sakura. Told in parts by her mother's translated memoir, and by Thomson's reflection on her mother's words, the story of this mother and daughter is wise and memorable; in short, a work of art.
