Lynn Deutscher Kobayashi – Task Team Chair: Human Rights and Advocacy

Lynn Deutscher Kobayashi, a sansei, is an intergenerational connector who is passionate about community building. She has utilized her fine arts degree and digital media management and business communications diplomas professionally and as a volunteer in non-profit settings including education, healthcare, community services, and social justice.  She is an energetic community organizer with diverse interests who hopes her mantra of “turning good intentions into results” will benefit the capacity-building initiative.

A creative solution seeker, activist, and athlete, she has placed third in her age group at the Boston Marathon and held Canadian age group and records from the mile to marathon. She recently returned to school as a student of Digital Humanities.  Lynn is on the steering committee of the CRRF Coalition Against Anti-Asian Racism, and president of the Toronto NAJC. She follows in the footsteps of her father who was Toronto NAJC President from 1986-1988 and she was in the House of Commons when the historic redress agreement was announced.
