National Association of Japanese Canadians<\/strong><\/p>\n Grant Writer \u2013 Independent Contractor<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n The National Association of Japanese Canadian\u2019s (NAJC) is seeking a skilled and experienced grant writer to work with our organization and its diverse membership.\u00a0 The Grant Writer will work collaboratively and creatively with Member Organization(s) to develop a framework to succeed in their grant writing process.<\/p>\n The Grant Writer will work on a contract basis to best support each organization. This could include planning sessions, oversight of material development, and final editing of the proposal.<\/p>\n The ideal candidate possesses a keen attention to detail; proven ability to multi-task and work through overlapping deadlines; sensitivity to navigating\/organizational intersections; excellent organization and prioritization skills; and a willingness to provide leadership to move the process forward to a successful conclusion.\u00a0 This individual must demonstrate the values of the NAJC with emphasis on confidentiality, professionalism and strong ethical behavior.<\/p>\n The Grant Writer reports directly to the Executive Director of the National Association of Japanese Canadians.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Education\/Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n The candidate must have the following:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Assets<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Additional Details<\/strong><\/p>\n It is expected that the Grant Writer will work for a full-time basis until November 1, 2023 for an hourly rate that will be negotiated between the NAJC and the successful contractor.\u00a0 Additional work may be contracted after November 1, 2023 which will be driven by grant opportunities that may exist and organizational needs.<\/p>\n *The successful candidate must be available to work beyond traditional office hours, including attendance at evening\/weekend board meetings and events.<\/p>\n This position serves a National membership and a remote work program will be determined based on needs.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n\n
