This November 11th, we invite you to gather at the cenotaph in Stanley Park to remember and honour the contributions and sacrifices of Japanese Canadian veterans. Hosted by the Japanese Canadian War Memorial Committee and the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre, the annual ceremony will begin at 10:40 am and commemorates a significant milestone: the 75th anniversary of the right to vote for all Japanese Canadians. This year, we recognize veteran George Tanaka’s enduring efforts to secure these rights and celebrate his legacy.
