インクルーシブなNikkei社会を作るのにわたしたちにできること
去る9月14日、全カナダ日系人協会（NAJC)の新移住者委員会（JNIC)は、今後3年間の活動計画を立てるため、トロントで対面の戦略会議を行いました。
その際、トロントの日系団体の皆様をお招きして、JNICの活動紹介と、団体間の交流を目的とした懇親会も開催しました。約20名の方々にご参加いただき、カナダ在住の日本人同士のつながりを深める良い機会となりました。
JNIC は『誰もが参加できるインクルーシブなNikkeiコミュニティ』をビジョンとして掲げ、それを実現する為に、カナダ各地の日系団体と連携していきたいと考えています。その第一歩として、以下の通り第9回目のZoom座談会を開催いたします。
テーマ：インクルーシブなNikkei コミュニテイを作る為に私たちができること
2025年は広島・長崎への原爆投下から80周年を迎えます。NAJCでは各地域のNAJC加盟団体でさまざまな記念行事をサポートしていく予定です。それを支えるべく、JNICもカナダ各地の日系人団体とつながり、各地の日本人移住者の記念式典への積極的な参加を募っていく予定です。
また、2025-2026年にはカナダ中の新移住者が集まる「移住者カンファレンス」も予定しており、カンファレンスで取り上げたいトピックの提案も募集しています。

On September 14, the Japanese New Immigrants Committee (JNIC) of the National Association of Japanese Canadians (NAJC) held an in-person strategic planning meeting in Toronto to plan its activities for the next three years. We also invited members of Japanese organizations in Toronto to introduce JNIC’s activities and exchange information among organizations. About 20 people attended the meeting, and it was a good opportunity to deepen ties among Japanese ijusha living in Canada.
JNIC’s vision is “An inclusive Nikkei community where everyone can participate” and we want to work with Nikkei organizations across Canada to make this vision a reality.
As a first step, we will be hosting the 9th Zoom Zadankai(Roundtable).
Theme: What We Can Do to Build the Inclusive Nikkei Community
We are also planning a conference for new immigrants from across Canada in 2025-2026 fiscal year and are seeking suggestions for topics to be covered at the conference.
