Ken Teramura – Task Team Chair: Partnerships and Collaborations
Ken is a san-sei, born and raised in Winnipeg. He has a Bachelor of Education degree. He spent over 30 years at Investors Group in various roles and for the past 12 years has been the founder of Be Positive- team based consulting. He is currently Past President of JCAM , having served in various executive capacities.
The Partnership and Collaborations Task Force will provide the NAJC member organizations with best practices on how to utilize resources outside of their respective boards to accomplish their goals and facilitate long term sustainability. It will focus on relationships pertaining to governments, funding and grant agencies, university and other educational facilities as well as other ethnic organizations. The shared best practices will describe how relationships were derived, the benefits to the member organization and the key contact person. This taskforce strongly believes that this taskforce will facilitate member organizations achieve their short and long term goals as well as work in other task forces by sharing practices experienced by their fellow member organizations.
