CAPACITY COMPONENT: MEMBERSHIP

1. To increase the overall size of the organizational membership and the percentage of the total Japanese Canadian population that are members of the organization.
   
   
2. To increase the diversity in the organization’s membership by ensuring the membership is comprised of:
   – Canadians of Japanese descent
   – Youth and young leaders
   – Children
   – Seniors
   – Immigrants
   – Those not of Japanese ancestry but share a commitment to organizational goals
   – Businesses and corporations&lt
   
   
3. To optimize membership processes related to membership sign ups, renewals and the payment of dues
   
   
4. To identify the evolving needs of members
   
   
5. To identify the most appropriate method of engagement with audience (i.e. audience engagement versus increasing membership)
   
   
6. To define the elements that constitute the Japanese Canadian community
