At a meeting held at NAJC national office in Winnipeg, an agreement was reached with Chief Nyce and Deanna Nyce; Shirley Morven (Chair, Council of Elders); NAJC and CMC President Mark O’Neill to re-install the gillnet boat Nishga Girl to her original home inside Canada Hall. The agreement was reached in an atmosphere of mutual respect and candor. Details of the meeting and the official agreement will be posted at a later time. The NAJC wishes to thank all friends of the Nishga Girl who contacted government and Museum officials – your voices and the spirit of Nishga Girl have been heard.
