The National Association of Japanese Canadians (NAJC), BC Parks and the Columbia Basin Institute are pleased to invite you to attend the Yellowhead Blue River Highway Project’s signage dedication ceremony. Over the past three years, our organizations have worked hard to recognize the contributions Japanese Canadians made to the development of Canada’s highway and the hardships they endured during the Second World War. Forcibly separated from their families, these men worked on the Yellowhead-Blue River highway project that spans from Blue River, BC into the Jasper area of Alberta. On June 23, join us at the beautiful Mount Robson visitor centre as we celebrate the installation of the new interpretive signage.
