NAJC/NJCCA 75 Years – We Stand on Their Shoulders

75th Anniversary Human Rights Symposium and Dinner

The National Japanese Canadian Citizens’ Association (NJCCA) was established in 1947 by Roger Obata, along with nisei leaders from across Canada, at a conference held in Toronto on the Labour Day weekend. In April 1980 it officially became the National Association of Japanese Canadians (NAJC).

The 2022 Online Human Rights Series will culminate in Toronto with in-person events on October 28, 29, 30, 2022.

Our online events are open to ALL.

As capacity for the In-person Symposium and Dinner is limited, criteria will be developed to choose participants should we exceed capacity. These will include:

1)  Attendance at our online Human Rights Series events
2)  Membership in one of our member organizations or participation in a NAJC committee.
